Autocorrect changes "me" to "mr" all the time!!

Ever since upgrading it's so frustrating because the autocorrect 100% of the time changes me to mr. I talk about me a lot! I finally gave up and just leave it to mr! I hope they fix this soon.

I have read all the answers and all have the same thing to say... Once your phone learns by correction that you want to say me and not mr it will stop correcting me to mr.... This is not the case> have written me 100 times and every time it corrects to mr. Let me give an obvious less on English. The title mr is written MR. and therefore the iPhone correction is wrong in the first place and in the second place me is used in the english language 98.7% more than Mr. Source (me).

You will be happy to know that you're not alone. I also have this issue. Though when I type "me" I get either Mr or Ms 100% of the time and it just blows my mind. I've owned and used every iPhone that has come out and I have never had something so asinine like this happen. It's quite frustrating, particularly because it's "me", it's not something like "anchovy". Like you, I've been trying to "train" my autocorrect stuff for several weeks now and it gets me no where. --sigh--

I have never regretted an apple purchase until iPhone 4. I'm already stuck sitting on the magic fix for the reception issues that will never come. I may as well wait for the fix on this one too.

ok so i found the fix to this problem since i was having it happen to me as well!!

"the most common reason it does this is because you have a contact with the word 'mr' in the name. Compose a new text message, type 'mr' in the To: field and you will see which contact is causing this from the autocomplete. At this point you can either edit the contact, put up with the autocomplete issue or disable autocomplete entirely."

I change the "Mr" in my contact and now the word "me" works in text. whooo hoooo

Well- resetting my dictionary did absolutely nothing for 'me' to 'mr' except erase all my other preferred settings. No help there.

The problem is Apple has put too much thought into this- it is the exact position of your finger on the 'e' character. If it is not centered (or slightly to the left) you will be left with 'mr' every time. Even after dictionary resets. I do not recommend doing that unless you are getting odd characters (such as a comma or apostrophe) auto inserted into your word.

I heard doing this 21 times will work, but it hasn't for me so far. I just have to try to be precise.

Hope this helps
