6 giga bytes how?

I wanted to free some space on my ipad so i went into settings to see what was taking up the most space, minecraft had 6.4 gb of documents and data so i went in and deleted some worlds, to find out i still had 6.2 so i go back into minecraft to find that it says my documents and data is only 800 mb explanation please.
