You need to free storage on your Mac. If you let the amount of free storage on your Mac drop below 10GB, you are critically low on storage and are. risking crashes or data loss.

iCloud Drive seems to be hogging most of your storage.

If you have not done so yet, enable the option "Optimize Storage" in the System Preferences > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Options. This checkmark is at the bottom of the "Options" panel.

Hopefully, this way iCloud will free some storage on your Mac. Or are you also running out of iCloud Storage and are using more than your Storage plan permits?

Open finder > iCloud Drive .

Click on documents > delete some documents into the trash , you can use right click on each document and click on get info , and can view what is the storage that the document is occupying in Macintosh HD , you can do the same way for another documents and try to delete some unwanted ones .
