photo streaming on apple tv?

Ok so I've imported some photos on my MacBook Air to photos app and they have synced to my iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2 but for some reason they are not syncing with my Apple TV 3rd generation and they are on the same account and on wifi system and I can't figure out why they are not downloading to my Apple TV. Just for so you know the photo stream is switch on on Apple TV and on my other devices.

I want to use the photos as a screen saver on the TV's.

Any one know how to get round this?

The 3rd gen never supported iCloud photo library, only the current models (4th gen and 4K) do. With the 3rd gen you have to use photo stream, so you won't get access to your full library only a stream of the most recent photos (which are removed after 30 days)

It will work with imports as long as everything is setup properly. You would need to make sure your Mac has My Photo stream enabled, and not just iCloud Photos
