My built-in track pad is not working properly

My built-in track pad is not working properly since I upgraded to High Sierra. It won't scroll. In preferences, it says it's not connected to bluetooth, but it's built in, not an external trackpad.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

Please take a look at the following troubleshooting article. Try steps 2, 3, 4, & 5 and post back your results. Feel free to try any of the other steps.
