MacBook randomly shut off and won’t turn back on fully

Are you running on battery power or the power adapter? You may have a bad battery. Check its health by clicking on the battery icon on the menu bar and press the Option key to see its status/condition.

Try running the Apple Diagnostic to check for a hardware issue.

Does your laptop use a hard drive or SSD?

You do not say what exact Mac /model /year /size /retina /touchbar is this ?

Sounds to me like your HD is failing.

If you have an external boot clone, boot off that and test your macOS.
