Subscribed yesterday to new News App...does not work today’s

You can send feedback to Apple to pile on the other reports, or you can try the work around another user posted:

As soon as the app opens, immediately tap the News + button, then the Today tab and reportedly the app will stay open.

Beyond that, the issue on on Apple’s end so Apple has to fix it. When that will happen is anyone’s guess. It will depend on whether it’s an issue with the app itself or something server side with where the news is pulled from.

There is an issue with the app. THere are multiple threads about it on this forum.

Send feedback to Apple, telling them there is an issue. It seems that 12.2 may have some glitches in it.

Beyond that folks will just have to wait and see what happens.
