Yahoo Hijack

What is this hideous Yahoo monster that takes over my google searches? I have removed it from my preferences and it keeps hijacking my google searches via something called flow search. I hate Yahoo. How do I make it stop? It's slowing down my browser too.

Use  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. If necessary, follow the manual instructions.  Do not download any other programs.

See if the below helps. I would scroll down to the below or you might fall asleep.
