PNG file gets a border around the edges in Keynote on Mojave

Hi Apple Community,

Problem: The company-logo has suddenly begun to get a thin black border around the edges when converting the Keynote-file to PDF. The logo is present on all our +250 master slides for professional presentations, so I hope for a quick fix. The problem occurred after updating to macOS Mojave 10.14.3 and my colleague does not experience this issue - he has the same version of Keynote, but uses macOS High Sierra.

Question: Anyone experiencing the same issue and has found a solution?

Specs:

  • The image file of the logo is PNG-format.
  • Keynote version: 8.3 (5989)
  • macOS Mojave: 10.14.3
  • Mac mini (Late 2014)

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Have you selected the respective image(s) in Keynote, and visited the Style tab to ensured that border was set to No Border, and Shadow to No Shadow? If there is any transparency on the edges of those images, this may materialize in a PDF as either a black or gray border. You may have to switch from .png to .jpg images, or at least test .jpg to see if the issue disappears.
