Apple Pay not working at Subway
I have an iPhone XS and an Apple Watch Series 4. Both have Apple Pay set up, and I have successfully used Apple Pay from both devices at several different stores with no problem. Neither the Apple Watch nor the iPhone will work using Apple Pay at Subway. I used to have an Android phone and used Google Pay at Subway at least once a week for a couple years, so I know the Subway terminals "can" work with NFC payments, but for some reason they don't work with my iPhone or Apple Watch. I submitted an issue to Apple regarding this problem, but have not heard anything. The cashiers know about the NFC terminals, but they also can't find anything wrong. I thought maybe it was the card selected on my Watch and iPhone, so I took out the physical card from my wallet and used that at the terminal. That did work, so I don't think the underlying card was an issue. I have tried this at more than one Subway and get the same problem, so I'm leaning toward thinking this is less of an Apple Pay problem and more of a Subway issue, but regardless of the cause, I just wish it would work.
