I'm trying to install an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card in my Mac Pro 1,1. The graphics card has a min-pci 6-pin connector. I'm trying to find a mini 6-pin to mini 6-pin video card power cable. So far haven't had any success. Perhaps this is not a graphics card that is supported in this old timer?
Any advice would be welcomed. My end goal is to get my Mac Pro 1,1 upgraded to something a little more recent than MacOS 10.7.5
On Amazon, include 6-pin and G5 or PCI express or PCI-e in your search and you will find many.
Drivers for 5770 were issued in 10.6.5 and later.
It's supported. I had that model and used the 5770 in it. It came with the power cable that connected internally. You might check eBay, Amazon, or i f i x i t dot c o m. Remove spaces.
