Mojave Safari Go Back Using Delete Key?
What is the trick, terminal or otherwise, to bring back the feature of using the delete key to go to the last page in Safari?

Please check syntax again (single line command):
defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2BackspaceKeyNavigationEnabled -bool YES
If you wish, OnyX tweaker will do this for you.

AapleCore,
I reached out to the author of Onyx about the delete key feature and apparently it is no longer supported. Drat!
Hi.
Checked it again on my system, it seems it doesn't work anymore. You're right.
Sorry to confusing you.
I think, Apple disabled this, because it's much easy to swipe between pages in Safari by scrolling two fingers left or right on trackpad (if you using MacBook for example), personally i mostly use this method, instead of Backspace. You may turn it on or off in System Preferences > Trackpad > More gestures
I would wait until the next update is released
or please call AppleCare.

Of course. If I don’t get an answer I’ll have no choice. Do you have any ideas?
I’ve seen terminal commands used for this before. It seems that apple keep giviing us no choice. 🤬
If terminal command still work then that is the question is kove answered.
Thanks for the terminal command. I’ll give that a try. I’ve tried a similar command but it was based on threads for older versions. I hope that this contains syntax that works. Have you personally tried it?
To the person suggesti’ng the keyboard shortcut, thanks. I’ve planned to use that if the terminal command doesn’t work.
Sorry, I am not familiar with any terminal command that will resolve the issue.
Yes, i use this settings too.
I tried it and sadly, it did not work for me. :(
.
Well I'll be darned. Even that didn't work.
Over the years I've operated by the philosophy that keeping my hands on the keyboard is more efficient and faster so you can imagine my disappointment that Apple has taken this time saving feature away from me. Apple has been working to eliminate this shortcut for a while now. I've had to "hack" the command in for the last couple of years.
Check the link. It is informative. I can win a race against a trackpad every time. :)
Thanks for your continued help and research. - Dan
