Macbook air not charging

When i plug in my laptop it shows the charging symbol but then when i hover over it it says its not charging. The little orange/green light on the MagSafe plug doesn't come on.

I have reset my mac many times and I tried an SMC Reset with no joy. I exchanged outlets. Power connectors 2 and 3 prong adapters, etc I still can't get it to charge. I also made sure that everything was updated so software shouldn't be a problem, unless its a system bug.

Anyone know anything I can try?

Check the health of the battery by Option clicking on the battery icon in the menu bar.

You can also run the Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostic depending on which one works with your laptop.

Check out this article to make sure your power adapter & magsafe port are good. Try plugging the power adapter into another outlet.

If these things don't help, then you have a hardware issue with the MBAir and will need to get it repaired.
