Hi,
Everytime I open Finder it displays all the recent files I have opened. I removed Recents from the sidebar on finder but it still appears each time I open Finder. How can I open Finder and have it default to showing another favorite like Movies or Music?

Choose Preferences from the Finder menu, click on the General tab if needed, and change the option for new windows.

From Finder preferences you can set this to anything you choose, the short cut is command N
