Locating Drum Kit Samples in Finder
Hi, I am wondering: Is there is any way to easily locate the file for a drum sample in Finder when all I know is the kit that it's from and the location of the note on the keyboard?
I'm trying to take all of my favorite sounds from all of Logic X's drum kits and drum machines and compile them into just two or three new kits. Now that I know which sounds I like, what kits they're from and what note they are on the keyboard, I am having trouble easily and quickly finding each sample's file in Finder. I have compiled sounds from nearly every drum kit/machine within the "Drum Kit" and "Electronic Drum Kit" paths of the Sounds Library within logic. Similar forum topics suggest browsing through "HD>Library>Application Support>Logic>EXS Factory Samples" or "HD>Library>Application Support>Logic>Ultrabeat Samples" , however I do not see perfect symmetry between the way Logic X organizes its kits and the way they are organized in Finder. For example, I know I want the clap sample on D#1 in the Bluebird Kit, as well as the clap sample on D#1 in the 'East Bay' kit. I don't see folders for either of these kits within the suggested directories - what's the fastest way to show them in Finder?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
