Can’t connect iPhone 10 to CarPlay. I have other phone that work just fine. Have tried all the above with no success. Holding down the voice button on my steering wheel only makes Siri start up. Any ideas? Dodge instruction manual sucks.

Can’t get CarPlay to work with my 10x. Have tried all the fix suggestions. When I depress the voice button on my steering wheel, all that happens is Siri comes up. Phone will not find my Uconnect system.

Hi, Mmartillaro,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you're trying to use your iPhone X with CarPlay, but it isn't behaving as expected. I'm happy to help!

You mention having done some troubleshooting. I'd encourage you to review the "Get help" section of How to use CarPlay with your iPhone - Apple Support to ensure you've done the recommendations.

Make sure to check for compatibility and firmware updates with your car's manufacturer. If you're up to date on firmware and the manufacturer confirms your car is compatibility with your current iOS installed on iPhone X, please get in touch with Apple Support directly: Contact Apple Support.

Cheers!

Do you see a "CarPlay" option when you tap Settings > General on your iPhone?

If you do not, perhaps you inadvertently disabled it as part of any restrictions you may have setup on your iPhone. To verify, tap Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and then tap Allowed Apps to verify that CarPlay has not been turned off there.

Does your Dodge Support Wireless Carplay at all? I don't believe any Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram vehicles support wireless Carplay at this time. As such the Voice button setup will not work unless the media center supports Wireless Carplay.

To access CarPlay in those cases, you should just need to plug your iPhone in to the USB port in your car using the iPhone's USB cable.
