Help! I plugged my iPhone 5s to get onto iTunes.

Help! I plugged my iPhone 5s to get onto iTunes. Then iTunes did that update and restore thing with me, but now I cannot access my phone or anything. It will not update and keeps saying error. Please help! I need this phone to last me for a couple days until I get my new iPhone.
