WiFi signal Icon not showing on my screen and no internet connection with WiFi

I have a iPhone SE and use it it work purposes, I recently found I have no WiFi capability on my phone although it is showing connected to my home WiFi router. My other iPhone (7) is working perfectly on the same WiFi network.


I’ve read the posts from other users and tried the following....reset my network in settings, rebooted the router, reset and rebooted my iPhone, still not working on WiFi. Note: when I switch off/on WiFi in settings I get the icon showing for a second then it disappears.


Hope for some assistance from anyone, thank you.

To inform both you and the Apple community I have solved the problem with my iPhone WiFi icon not appearing on my screen and also not being able to connect to WiFi. The problem was my Express VPN was trying to connect, even when I tried to switch off the Auto connect option it wouldn’t allow me to. I then deleted the app and my WiFi icon and connection was reinstated. I then reloaded the VPN app....all ok now👍

I understand you're not able to use Wi-Fi on your iPhone SE. I always use Wi-Fi when it's available and I'd like to help out.
