“Not Secure” message in Safari address bar - how to turn it off?

With 12.2 there’s an annoying and totally unnecessary message telling the user that a website is “not secure” if it’s not using https. I happen to visit several websites like that, am aware that plain old http is not as good as https, and don’t want or need to to be told it, every time I visit those sites.

Is there any way to make this irritating behavior go away?

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I don’t understand what’s gotten into the Apple designers that they have begun to babify the user, like I’m a child that needs to be told things over and over again. They could have chosen other ways to communicate the “security” issue. What do they expect, that if they repeat the “security warning” over and over again, every time I visit one of these sites, that I’ll be less motivated to revisit it? This is just idiotic.

Thanks for for your response.
