Safari won't load pages

Safari starts loading a site but the progress bar just stops near the beginning and sits there. Finally it times out and displays 'Safari can't open the page [insertpageurlhere] because the server where this page is located isn't responding.

If I open another browser like Firefox or Chrome, the pages load fast and no issue with any of them.

I clear the history/data but nothing Sometimes it comes back to life after a reboot but then the problem comes back quite quickly, yet any other installed browser has no problem.

The weird thing is that the iTunes store also has a problem loading the store... just sits there so it 'seems' like a network issue but only when using Apple software?

I'm perplexed!

Deselect Proxies, if selected.

System Preference > Network > Advanced  > Proxies Tab

Unlock the lock if you have to.

Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if check marked.

    Click "OK" then  "Apply”.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply        Pastebin
