Why isn’t my Apple Music not working

On your iPhone, do the following:
- tap "For You"
- tap your profile picture at the top right
- tap "Manage Subscription"
If you have an active Apple Music Subscription, you will see the information now on the screen. If you have not yet subscribed (which it sounds like), you will be given the option to do so.
