"Constant Power" crossfade

I can't believe I can't figure this out, but what is the correct way to fade spliced clips into each other without a click or volume dip? For instance, Premiere Pro has an extremely easy one-click solution effect called "constant power" ... but I can't find an equivalent in Logic Pro X. I've played around with the "equal power" settings and can't get it sounding correct, and I don't want to have to keep resorting to creating a whole new track for the second clip,,, thanks for any help!

The only reason to place a cut in a Region and then putting a fade over it is when you want to change levels dynamically without using automation. In that case, you set the Fade Type in the Inspector to X and either drag up the Inspector's Fade Out value to get a centered crossfade or drag across the cut with the fade tool to get asymmetrical fades.

If you get a volume dip, switch to EqP, this will be louder.
