Pairing problem

My Apple Watch and phone have been unpaired and now I can’t pair them again. The Apple Watch app just keeps checking for software updates endlessly (not ever finding it, just the circle going around), even when I click on Start pairing. The watch is ready but the phone will just keep searching for updates. Help please!

I recommend restarting both of your devices, then try pairing them again. Also, make sure Airplane mode isn’t enabled on your iPhone while you’re pairing, since this feature can block the connection to your Apple Watch while you’re pairing. If it still doesn’t work, try connecting to another known-good wi-fi network, then trying once more. If it fails again, contact Apple Support: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201232
