"Cropping" a filtered spreadsheet

I need to do the following thing and I can't seem to find the way to do it. Maybe there's no such option in Numbers (it does exist in Excel). If I filter a spreadsheet and leave only lines with a certain value, I want then to create a separate spreadsheet that contains only those lines. In Excel, when I copy all the filtered lines and paste them in a new tab, it contains only those lines. But in Numbers, it's still all the lines with the hidden ones according to the filter. So I have to sort the table instead of filtering and then delete the lines with the values that I don't need. But I would prefer to just "crop" the table the way it works in Excel. Is there a way to do it?

Hi Rosie

Paste into an existing table not onto the canvas.

Table 1 without a filter.

Table 1 filtered, visible rows copied, click once in a cell in an unfiltered table and paste.

Regards,

Ian.
