Charging mac without its original charger?

My friend took accidentaly my charger for my mac and I am in different country. While I wait for the post to deliver it for me how can I charge it? Can I use regular USB-c with for example my iphone charger adapter? Will this voltage or something destroy battery on my mac and is it recommendable to use it like this? I just need to do it like once till it comes..
