Newest iPhones come with the same wired earphones as those that came with your iPhone 6. Only difference is that they use a Lightning connector instead of a 3.5 mm plug. You can continue to use your purchased earphones with new iPhones, but you’ll need to buy a tiny $9 Apple cable converter.

All iPhones comes with same the same wired earphones called "Earpods". They are the mostly the same ones that came with the iPhone 6 except for the connector, lightning instead of 3.5mm. Apple has not changed their headphone design or size since.

The wireless earphones are called "Airpods", and are a separate purchase, they are not included with any iPhone. However the earplug portion is the same size as the regular Earpods.

If you find the regular wired Earpods too big, then the wireless Airpods will also be too big.
