Safari cannot open page because server stopped responding

I have a WiFi IPAD only and does connect to internet access point. When I open Safari and try to access any web site I receive the following message "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.". I have tried the reset as stated in the community FAQs. It did not work. Any other ideas?
