Hello! I have an active Netflix account but cannot login to my Apple TV 3. I have done reset, updates and contacted Netflix who told me that this is a common problem... Does anyone have the same problem and, even better, a solution to it????

It all has to do with 2 factor authentication. If you are attempting to enter the password and code all at once then you can easily exceed the limit. As above you need to enter the password and then request the code.
You can only turn off 2 factor authentication if it was recently enabled, within 2 weeks, and it isn't recommended as it makes the account less secure and certain features would be unavailable. As above, you just need need to enter things differently when using an older device
Then that confirms the account is working. Just to clarify, you are leaving no spaces between the password and code when entering on Apple TV
Yes, contacting iTunes would be the best course of action at this point.
Try signing in with your Apple ID on another device to see if it goes through for verification. You may end up having to contact iTunes.
It will not take it! I am also struggling to sign in to itunes with my apple tv (it s no just a Netflix problem) and although i put the 6 digit auth code sent to my phone - yes, in less than 30” - right after my apple id password STILL nothing! Cannot sign in to my apple account either! Any ideas?

It makes me crazy!
I had to sign in with my apple id here, in order to enter the community... it require an auth code which was sent automatically and had ready “cells” to type the code in... no problem here...
So, is itunes my next stop?

It would be an issue with 2 factor authentication. You need to enter the password and code together, and there is a time limit. To make the best use of that time enter the password, then request the code, and add it to the end of the password
