iphone 4 - operating system

I have just received my new iphone 4 today to find that my current operating system 10.4.11 doesn't support it & won't activate it. To get the 10.5.8 (Leopard) what do i need to do? Thanks

Unfortunately i cannot see anything about this prob - lots about syncing with latest i-tunes but thats not my problem - could you give me some hints as to where i might find it?

You need to purchase Leopard or 10.5 and install it. As far as I'm aware Apple no longer sells it as a retail product although it may be available for sale from Apple support/customer service. If you have an Intel based Mac then you could purchase Snow Leopard or 10.6.
