I am trying to retrieve a file from Turbo Tax App which requires a password. the file was made in March 2018. My hard drive crashed in December 2018. Apparently the file was saved but now my password doesn't work. Is the a way to bypass the password request?

You may need to ask Turbo Tax support about that question. Chances are the answer will be "no." However, did you make regular backups of your notebook? If so, you may be able to recover that file that way.
You are correct, I spoke with Mac support. I have verified that the previous hard drive was corrupted, therefore I did not receive it back from the I Store. I will look into the backed up files. Thank you for your input.
