Can't import songs with titles containing the word "Down" into iTunes

I have 9 songs in iTunes that have the word "Down" in the title, and every time I try calling any of them up, I get a message saying "Cannot locate this song." The titles and album info. and durations are all listed in the library, but the actual songs don't seem to be there. (And when I synch the library to my iPhone or copy the songs to a thumbdrive for my car: same thing. The songs with "Down" appear in the list but don't actually seem to be there.) Any clue what's happening? This never happens to any of the other thousands of songs in my library.

Song title only? As a separate word or part of one? Is there anything else these tracks have in common, e.g. source, format, etc. Could you have inadvertently delete the source files at some point? I've tried a random selection of the 176 songs I have that contain the word "down" in their tags and so far all are playing properly.

Presumably each of the missing tracks would have been in the same folder as others from the same album. Start there and then fire up Time Machine to see if you can locate the tracks and work out when they were removed from the primary drive.
