I shot a clip (showing a color chart at the start) on a Nikon Z7 @ 4K at 60fps into an AtomOS Nija V recorder.

I imported the clip into an up-to-date Final Cut Pro X (on a 2018 Macbook Pro), got to a frame showing the color chart, selected color Inspector (Balance color option greyed out) and was unable to select the Balance Color tool.

Why was this option unavailable? Do I have a miss-match on my project settings to the clip?

Thanks

Al,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have a project with two clips both shot at 59.94 fps progressive using Apple ProRes 422 HQA, Linear PCM (from Nikon Z7)

Both clips are similar except that one is with a white background. In both cases I get this ...

I get the images you sent with the white bg clip. On the dark bg clip I get this...

Is it a setting I have wrong?

Thanks

Ben
