How can I rename a handwritten note (an Apple Pencil note) in the iOS Notes app?

iPad mini, iOS 12

Answer: drag the note down and then the suggested name and an edit choice appear at the top of the note.

Rename a handwritten note without going back to my iPad During the day at work, i will often write handwritten notes on my iPad mini with my Apple Pencil. As far as i can tell, there is no way to rename these notes on my iMac once i get back to the office or home. "Rename" is in the Edit menu but it's greyed out and seems to only be an option for folders. Any notes i've typed are fine because i can just change the first line of text, but with handwritten notes there doesn't seem to be a way to add text above handwriting. Am i missing something? This seems contrary to the design of every other Apple and non-Apple program on MacOS.

And, if the suggested note name is derived from recognized handwritten text, you can erase/rewrite the text. Cute trick.
