iMessage not activating

iMessage is not activating, then says it’s waiting for activation

See this Apple support link-->If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

Note that activating iMessage requires sending an SMS to an Apple server in the UK, so your account needs to have international SMS enabled.
