Why does my MacBook refuse to update to Mojave 10.14.4 and the App Store doesn't update my pages, keynote and numbers ?

Greetings everyone,

I have a problem with my MacBook Pro. It doesn't update even though I have enough free space and relatively good connection. I just see the red numbers on the system preferences icon and the App Store icon, but when I click and say download & restart it stays and doesn't download the update and gets me back to searching for update etc. Please tell me how to fix it, and it will be greatly appreciated ! Thank you in advance !

Boot into Safe Mode and try installing from there.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

Are you running Mojave now?

The combo is an update not an upgrade.

You can boot into Safe Boot mode (holding shift key) to run the Mojave full installer from your Applications folder

or

the combo form your Desktop/Downloads folder

Install the combo update first directly, then update your others

I already tried that, but It doesn't want to install it as well, it says it failed or something, and I've also tried to do it through the App Store but had no luck with that as well.
