Hi all
Been getting the above almost once a week and seemingly ever more frequent, a full new back up is made it'll make incremental backups over a period of days and then here we are again wanting to start a new back up.
I have 1.3tb of info that it backs up which takes a good few days.
Is my back up drive screwed or is the software doing something it shouldn't?

Considering the additional symptoms (increasing frequency of that message and the length of time to back up 1.3 TB) it is very likely the TM backup disk has been operating in a state of failure. The solution is to replace it.

There may be something wrong with the drive, or it may just need to be erased and start the backups over again.
Time machine must create a new backup for you
