FAT32

I cannot figure out how to formate a USB to Fat32. This should not be difficult it’s a standard formate for many devices. I’m running Mojave.

Difference in FAT32 format (MacOS, Windows, Linux) Is there a difference between how MacOS and Windows/Linux format USB flash drives into FAT32? I have a device that uses custom USB drivers and is compatible only with FAT32. When I format to FAT32 using MacOS, the device cannot read it, but PC can; when I format into FAT32 using Windows, the device can read is and so can MacOS. I suppose there are advanced USB drivers that PCs are using, but I wonder if there is somewhere documentation to FAT32 formatting or if anyone can explain this to me or point me to the right direction.

trying to format a usb flash drive as fat32 but I do not get the option Hi there I was going to format my usb stick as fat 32 in disk manager but I do not get the option for my usb flash drive. Is there a way I can make this work? Thanks in advance Muz_

Recent version of Disk Utility present the default view as Volume-View, which is useless for anything except first Aid on an existing MacOS Volume:

Select Device-View, so that you see the immutable Hardware-names of your devices, and the full capabilities of Disk Utility become available to you:
