Charge your Apple Pencil (1st generation)
To charge your Apple Pencil (1st generation), plug your Apple Pencil into the Lightning connector on your iPad. You can also charge it with a USB Power Adapter by using the Apple Pencil Charging Adapter that came with your Apple Pencil. Apple Pencil will fast charge when plugged into either power source.

Apple Pencil (1st generation) works with iPad Air (3rd generation), iPad mini (5th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st or 2nd generation), iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, and iPad (6th generation).
