iCloud backup Pro’s and Con’s
Is backup on an iPhone and iMac pro machine really good, useful, needed? Pro’s and Con’s please.

If you care about your data, and recovering it if your device breaks, is lost or stolen or otherwise rendered nonfunctional, then yes, a backup is highly useful. It may be (often) the only way you will ever recover your data. That goes for any computing device.
iCloud backups are convenient in that if you simply plug your device in overnight (and have WiFi) it backs up automatically. iCloud backups are also encrypted, and transmitted over an encrypted connection.
iTunes backups may not be as convenient but making them as well means your data is then redundantly backed up.
Of course, if you don’t care about losing all the data on your device, then a backup may seem pointless. Otherwise, I consider them essential and not optional.
Backups are always good, useful, and needed. They protect you from loss of information because all storage devices and computers fail. The more backups you have the better you will be.
Thanks.
