find my iphone wont provide a pin to unlock my lost then found mac. solutions???

So... I lost my mac the other night. Panicked and locked my Mac with "Find my iPhone" then It was returned to me. Now, I'm back at work with a locked mac and can't proceed to work on my computer.

Unlocking it comes up with the screen to go to icloud.com/find, but nothing is there to input the 6-digit PIN... What can I do? I'm also not in the US and all the apple stores here are closed for another 2 hours...I can't work...

MacBook, macOS 10.14

Hi, jjdharger,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. It's great that you were able to recover your missing Mac! I understand that since getting it back, you've been unable to turn Lost Mode off. I'm happy to help!

You're on the right path to getting back into your Mac using iCloud.com. After logging into iCloud.com, be sure you're following the steps outlined below from iCloud: Lock and track your device using Lost Mode in Find My iPhone:

"Recover the passcode to unlock your Mac

  1. Click All Devices, then select the Mac that’s locked.
  2. Click Unlock, then follow the onscreen instructions to verify your identity with your Apple ID password.
  3. Once you have your passcode, enter it on your Mac."

Have a great day.
