I’ve noticed recently that some push notifications are not working when my AW is on cellular, but they are fine when in range of my iPhone. Main one being WhatsApp.
Has anyone else had this? Any fix for it?

It’s started working again. Today I tested WhatsApp on cellular, and the notification came though. It did come through on both phone (with noise) and watch, but I can live with that.
(I went to the shop and left the phone at home with my partner)

See this link in the footnote area what you can do with your Apple Watch on cellular without the paired iPhone around. Some push notifications require that the iPhone, even if not with you, be powered on and connected to the network. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205547
There is no native WhatsApp Watch app so if you iPhone is not within range to mirror the notification it will not work. Same for any other app that is on your iPhone and mirrors to your Watch but does not have a native Watch app.
It is not an app that is on the watch, you may be pushing notifications from your phone but WhatsApp does not have Watch support at this time.

Yes I’m aware of that.
Ive always has the push notifications previously as it mirrors iPhone.
I have a local news app, that also stopped coming through.
If the app does not support the watch then the notification will not come in without your iPhone around to push it.
It’s worked previously, hence this thread!

I seem to be repeating myself. I’m aware there is no native app. I’ve had the notifications on cellular before...
Then you must have a very special Apple Watch. Hang on to it.
