After the last update was installed I cannot get Apple maps to give voice directions. When I hit the green Go button nothing happens. I have rechecked all options several times and they are correct. I have changed the options a couple of times also with no result.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to hear directions in the Maps app on your iPhone. If you're using your iPhone with your car stereo, please follow the steps in this Apple resource:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car
If you're not using your iPhone with your car stereo, please follow the relevant steps from these Apple resources:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
Use Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for replying, rtalcott, and that additional info, it really helps! Based on your additional details, please check with the manufacture of your stereo to see if there are any updates for your stereo, and then contact Apple if you need any further assistance.

The issue is not that the phone will not connect with the truck, the issue is that the program is not working when I hit the GO button for directions. The program will take the name or address and will show the map correctly but will not give verbal directions due to the fact the GO button does not activate. I have shut down the phone several times and have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. This condition started right after the last update was installed on the phone.
Perhaps I have not made the issue I am having clear, the Apple Maps application is not working correctly. Let me reiterate the issue:
When I open the app and select a destination, I then select the directions button and the screen then displays the green GO button. I then select GO to obtain verbal directions and the button fades momentarily but does not activate the verbal directions. It is not the radio that is causing the issue because the app will not activate the verbal directions for the phone speaker either. I can press the GO several times with no result. The app work flawlessly before the latest update I installed a couple of days ago. I have cycled the phone on and off several times and uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times also. I have switched over to Google maps which does the job, but I prefer the way Apple maps works.
Still not working, any other information available? Is anyone else having this issue? Is Apple working on a solution?????
I subsequently loaded Waze and it works correctly. The issue is with Apple Maps and the newest update.
