I lost my AirPods with the charging case. I did not set it up with find my iPhone before hand. Is there anyway I can track it somehow, or get my serial number from another source? I do not have the serial number for it on my phone either.

You do not need to explicitly set up the AirPods on Find My iPhone. All you need to have done is set up Find My iPhone, and paired the AirPods to that iPhone. This explains.

Even if you set it up with Find My iPhone, you won't be able to track them.
