Hi Zcdm,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with your Magic Trackpad. It sounds like you are only able to move the cursor around.

Have you gone into System Preferences > Trackpad to see if all the gestures you want to use are selected? If they are, try de-selecting them and selecting them again. You can also see all the gestures here: Use Multi-Touch gestures on your Mac.

Have you restarted the computer since this started happening? You could also try unpairing the Magic Trackpad in System Preferences > Bluetooth and then set it up again: Set up your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard, and trackpad.

If the issue still continues, you can isolate further by testing the Magic Trackpad in a new user account: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac. If it still isn't working properly there, it may indicate the fault is with the Magic Trackpad.

Have a great day!
