Wallet will not scan Barcode

Trying to add all my rewards cards to my apple wallet but when I go to scan code my phone goes into camera mode but won’t scan code. What can I do to fix this?

The card I’m trying to add is in the list of cards that work with Wallet and the camera opens when I choose to add a new pass, but won’t scan. apple wallet scan qr Apple wallet seems to lack any ability to load qr's, unless there is an accompanying apple wallet button (somewhat rare). Even then, it sometimes errors out with the usual message (along the lines of "something went wrong"). I don't have any scan ability in "Add to Wallet" page in the wallet app. Apparently can just add to some pre-existing cards. I'm not sure what would add or remove scanning ability from wallet. Don't get it. Camera scan qr - I am not sure this works either, but it doesn't seem to provide a route to apple wallet. Camera has scan qr enabled. This iphone runs iOS 15.5

Adding bar code to Wallet I have a gym card with a bar code (not a QR code) I'd like to add to my Wallet. But when I tap "Scan Code," the camera opens but does not recognize the bar code as such. It just takes a photo of the bar code. Is there a way to add a regular bar code to Wallet?

Point the camera at the scan code. It should recognize it. Try changing the distance from the code.
