I recently had a iPhone 8 Plus brought to me with an ear speaker problem there’s no volume at all. I replaced the speaker and still nothing, I’ve tried the usual things, restarts, etc. I’m thinking it’s a hardware problem, possibly from a dropped phone or something of that nature. They told me they had a screen replacement not long ago. Any one ever have a stubborn ear speaker issue similar to this one?

I recently had this issue with my old X and I had to take it into the Apple store nearest to me - they did some diagnostics confirmed that there was some issue with the sound being produced - they went in the back with it, cleaned it out and it was working perfectly fine.
It's probably in your best interest to just book an appointment and seeing if cleaning it will help the issue.
