Adding notes to PDFs in Apple Books

I save a lot of documents to iBooks (now Books) for review later. I’ve spent the last 2 hours attempting to add a note to the PDFs as you can with ebooks in Apple Books.

PDF markup is good for sharing but for studying long documents saved in Books, I need a way to add notes (not a superimposed text box or my scribbled text in a skinny margin).

Is there a solution for this need?

Add notes to Apple Books? Amazon's Kindle has a way to write your own notes in purchased books -- but I don't like the way it works. Your notes show up as a tiny yellow icon that you have to click every time you want to see what you've written. Does Apple Books have a way to add annotations to your purchased books? The ability to write notes in the margins is one advantage printed books still have over ebooks.

Multiple page pdf in preview to notes I like to collect Information for some setup information that I use often and I am trying to store it in notes. I find the information on web and open it in preview then use share feature to send to notes. The issue I am having is when I do this, it only sends the first page. Anyone know how to include the whole file that is showing in preview? Thanks, Daniel Louque
