IMessage does not work anymore

Recently I have switched off my iMessage option but when I tried to turn it on again it didn’t work. I get the “waiting for activation” message and when I try to sign in with my account nothing happens.

Do you have an International text plan active.

iMessage uses International SMS to connect/authenticate with their server.
