iMovie simply disappeared from my computer after the update to Os Sierra 10.12.6 . When I try to install it from the App Store, i get a message saying it must be installed in versions 10.13.6 or later, but there is no update available for my OS Sierra. What do you recommend I do in order to be able to run iMovies on my mac?

QuickTimeKirk is right. Your computer will run both High Sierra and Mojave. Upgrade to Mojave and you should be able to then download current version iMovie 10.1.11.
