How do I access a previous item saved to the clipboard? Using Safari, on an iPhone 7, I filled in an online form which involved composing a very long letter. I copied it for my records, clicked ‘Submit’ and switched to Notes, but before I could paste it, I accidentally copied another sentence, which was very short. Now, the short sentence is the only thing I can retrieve with the “paste” function. Have I completely lost the long, important letter? Thanks!

It may not solve the problem, but that’s the solution you’re stuck with and I think that was what Branta_uk was trying to let you know.
Unfortunately I think you have to start typing again. As far as I am aware clipboard does not store its history.

Windows has had this capability for decades. Can it really be that iOS doesn’t?
